Shasta Lake Council Special Election Will Be Done By All Mail In Vote

A special election will be held to fill a vacancy on the Shasta Lake City Council. The seat belonged to Larry Farr, who was reelected to the 4 year term in 2020, but he died in January of 2021. Shasta Caverns Manager Matt Doyle was appointed to complete the term, but then he moved out of town and was thereby disqualified. The term goes through December of next year. The March 7th special election will be almost strictly by mail. There will be no polling places, but voters who choose to cast a ballot in person may do so at the Elections Office at Market and Placer in Downtown Redding.
