The Shasta County Board of Supervisors is looking to name a new County Executive Officer. On Tuesday they’ll vote on whether to give the job temporarily to Deputy CEO Mary Williams. She began working for the county in 2015 as an Administrative Board Clerk. The promotion would not be permanent, but only while the recruitment process continues to search for a permanent CEO to replace the retiring Pat Minturn. He used to be the Public Works Director and was asked to delay his retirement last year to fill in as CEO after the resignation of Matt Pontes. Williams would earn nearly $20,000 a month for the job.
