A man who was shot west of Corning the day after Christmas is recovering, and the two men wanted for attempted murder are still being sought by the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. The shooting happened at 11:24 the morning of December 26th on Muledeer Drive in Rancho Tehama. 37-year-old Manuel Adrian Ventura Soto was shot in his left shoulder and was transported to St Elizabeth Hospital in Red Bluff, then transferred to Mercy in Redding for further treatment. There’s no information available on the motive for the shooting, or the identities of the two suspects. Tehama County Major Crimes says they fled in a white 80s or 90s model 2-door GMC Jimmy.
