Strong Storm Knocks Out Power Across The North State

Thousands of Shasta County residents are waking up in the dark Thursday morning. They include more than a Thousand PG&E customers east of Shingletown, more than 600 in East Anderson and Cottonwood, another 150 or so in Lakehead. There are also thousands in Butte County and a huge area of Humboldt County with no power. An outage has also knocked out the only stoplight in Trinity County, located in Downtown Weaverville. A large outage in Downtown Redding has been mostly restored by REU. Downed power lines should be reported to 9-1-1.
