Park Rangers Say They’ve Made A Dozen Arrests At Whiskeytown Park In The Past Week

As the weather is heating up, people are flocking to Whiskeytown Lake and, although the vast majority of park visitors are well behaved, Park Service Law Enforcement Rangers have made over a dozen arrests in the past week, including for child endangerment, DUI, drunk in public, evading, burglary, drugs, weapons and warrants. Rangers have also resolved hundreds of minor violations with warnings or citations. They also had a medical incident, a fire and a water search and rescue. Visitors to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area are subject to federal enforcement.
