A traffic stop led to the seizure of a variety of guns Friday afternoon. When the RPD pulled over 34-year-old Jonathan Fargo of Anderson for a traffic violation, the officer thought Fargo seemed nervous and he noticed several gun cases in the back seat. Fargo acknowledged he had guns in the car and the officer searched, reportedly finding two shotguns, four rifles and four handguns, including a loaded handgun on the floorboard behind the center console within the reach of the driver. Three of the rifles are apparently defined as illegal assault weapons by the State of California. Several thousand rounds of ammunition were also found. Fargo was arrested for carrying a loaded gun in a car and possession of illegal assault weapons.
