Man Arrested After Fatal Stabbing At Red Bluff River Park

An arrest has been made for a fatal stabbing Tuesday night at Red Bluff River Park, and the perpetrator was apparently the victim’s brother. At around 7:30PM Tuesday multiple 9-1-1 callers reported a man trying to stab people. When Red Bluff Police arrived they found 37-year-old Jonathon Emerson near the pool suffering from a single stab wound to his chest. EMT’s provided first aid and transported him to Saint Elizabeth Hospital, but he died after arriving. Emerson’s brother, 30-year-old Kenneth Schoeb, was arrested Wednesday morning at the Tehama County Courthouse when he arrived for court in a different case, in which he’s accused of stabbing another man outside the Round-Up Saloon Friday night.
