7 Week Closure Of Highway 99 In Tehama County Starts Wednesday

Drivers on State Highway 99 will need to take a detour for the next seven weeks as Cal-Trans replaces a bridge between Los Molinos and Vina. Accelerated construction begins Wednesday on the Champlin Slough Bridge Replacement Project. The bridge has been subject to one-way traffic control for preliminary work but now it’ll be completely closed in both directions for seven weeks, with completion expected in mid-August. Drivers going to Chico need to take Interstate Five all the way to South Avenue in Corning to get around the closure.
