Online Public Meeting Will Allow Public Input On Wildfire Prevention Money

State officials are discussing how to spend a large sum of fire prevention money, and Shasta County residents are encouraged to make their voices heard. The Department of Housing and Urban Development has more than $231 Million to spend on disaster impacts and mitigating future disasters, and the money must be spent in a county affected by the 2020 Northern California wildfires, including the Zogg Fire. The department will hold an online public meeting next Wednesday. Public comment can be submitted to disasterrecovery@hcd.ca.gov.
