Coroner ID’s Washington Man Who Drowned At Lake Shasta

A man who apparently drowned while trying to secure a houseboat at Lake Shasta has been identified. Last Monday the houseboat came untethered from the bank near the O’Brien Inlet. 44-year-old Jesse Carl Zeigler of Carnation, Washington tried to retrieve the boat his three sons say he went underwater he never resurfaced. On Friday the Sheriff’s Boating Safety Unit and the Dive Team used a remote control submarine to find the body about 100 feet underwater.
