Shasta County’s March Unemployment Rate Lowest Since 1990

Great news in the job market as Shasta County has posted the lowest March unemployment rate dating back to 1990. The 4.6% rate is a dramatic change from the 8.4% of last March. Not a single industry showed a month-over decline, and several are doing better than before the pandemic. Tehama County had a 4.8% jobless rate last month. It was 4.7% in trinity county and 6.5% in Siskiyou County. California had a rate of 4.2% and it was 3.8% nationwide.
