Man Accused Of Murdering Taco Bell Employee Will Be In Court Monday

The accused murderer of a Taco Bell employee is expected in court Monday after his scheduled arraignment on Friday was delayed again. 55-year-old Brent Close is accused in the death of 29-year-old Kevin Wrenne, who was stabbed multiple times while outside on a break from his job at the Downtown Redding Taco Bell. No motive has been identified. Close’s bail is set at $2 Million. Friday’s arraignment was postponed when the Shasta County Public Defender’s Office said they had some sort of conflict and would not be able to represent Close. New counsel will be assigned Monday and Close will have an opportunity to enter a plea.
