Tehama County Deputies Arrest Man Accused Of Shooting At Moving Vehicle In Redding

An arrest has been made for gunshots fired from one car to another on Bechelli Lane Tuesday night. A little after 10 O’clock, 20-year-old Jayden Peterson had just gotten off work and was driving home when he realized someone was following him. He made a U-turn south of Hartnell to get a look at the other driver and apparently recognized him as 28-year-old Brandon Culver. He says the two of them had a little dust-up at a party several weeks ago. As he continued driving in the opposite direction, Peterson heard gunfire and the sound of bullets striking the back of his car. Redding Police say there were a lot of other people around at the time but fortunately nobody was hit by any of the rounds. Peterson told officers that Culver was the shooter and a “be-on-the-lookout” was sent out. A short time later Tehama County Deputies spotted Culver in the Red Bluff area and took him into custody, with the gun still in his car. He’s been booked into jail for attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
