4 COVID-19 Deaths Reported By Public Health

Although the pandemic is winding down, four deaths by COVID-19 were confirmed over the past week by Shasta County Public Health. They were all over the age of 70. A second booster is now recommended for those 50 and older who got a first booster dose more than 4 months ago. It’s also recommended for any adult who got the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. There are only 23 active known cases of Coronavirus in Shasta County, but 6 of those patients are in the hospital and 2 of them are in intensive care. There’s still a lot of information being updated at shastaready.org.
