RPD: Officers Make Multiple Arrests After Neighbors Complain About Rundown Home

Multiple arrests were made Thursday afternoon at a house on Bechelli Lane a little north of Loma Vista. Redding Police say they had gotten many complaints from neighbors about heavy traffic in and out of the location at all hours. Code enforcement also investigated and believed the home was uninhabitable. Officers say trash and abandoned vehicles were strewn about the property and many people were living in the house, around the house, in outbuildings and in cars. Nobody there was able to tell police who owned the place. The many abandoned vehicles were towed away. The inside of the house was in shambles, with no running water or electricity. Much of the floor was covered in feces from the various animals living there. The house was condemned and many of the occupants were arrested on outstanding warrants.
