Driver That Killed Two Los Molinos Residents In DUI Crash Sentenced To 22 Years In Prison

A Red Bluff man was been sentenced for a DUI crash that left two people dead in Tehama County in December of 2020. 27-year-old Ryan Cantrell was driving a Ford Fusion southbound on Highway 36 near Tuscan Avenue at a high rate of speed when he allowed the car to leave the road. The car jumped off of a driveway and went airborne for over a hundred feet, drifting nose down before striking a large tree. A 32-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Los Molinos, were killed. 21-year-old Jordan Suggs suffered major facial injuries. Cantrell also was hospitalized with major injuries. The CHP determined he was under the influence of Methamphetamine and Marijuana. He also had a prior serious felony and was in possession of drugs for sale. Cantrell has been given a 22 year state prison sentence.
