Vehicle Search Uncovers Meth & Heroin Near The Weed Airport

A suspected drug dealer was arrested by the Siskiyou County Domestic Highway Enforcement Team last Thursday. An agent stopped a Ford Focus with Washington plates on Interstate Five near the Weed Airport for traffic violations. Another agent arrived to assist as the passenger and owner of the car, 48-year-old Samuel Wayne Blanchfield, was interviewed. Agents say they observed what they call “criminal indicators” and determined that Methamphetamine was in the car. Blanchfield allegedly consented to a search which revealed more than a Pound of Meth and 5.5 Grams of Heroin. Blanchfield was arrested for felony possession and transportation of drugs for sale.
