Couple Charged With Defrauding Tehama County Social Services

A Red Bluff couple is accused of defrauding Tehama County of more than $89,000. A District Attorney’s Office investigation began last May when the Department of Social Services reported one of their employees, 44-year-old Shirley Camarillo, was under suspicion. She and her husband, 42-year-old Fidel Camarillo, were both working full time while claiming to spend full time caring for their disabled son. Both have been arrested and charged with felony fraud to obtain financial aid.
