Man On Parole For Looting During The Carr Fire Arrested In Siskiyou County

Two men were arrested after Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Detectives were easily able to track down a stolen tractor. The theft was reported Monday morning in Montague. The victim said someone cut the lock on her gate and made off with the tractor, which was later posted for sale on Facebook Marketplace. It was located at a home in the Hammond Ranch Area, where a search warrant was served on Tuesday. Along with the stolen tractor, deputies reported finding 412 Pounds of processed Marijuana bud and some guns and ammo. Two men on the property, 33-year-old Jared Bach of Weed and 43-year-old Jacob Taylor of Redding, are both convicted felons prohibited from having guns. Taylor is on parole from a conviction in Shasta County, where he looted a quad runner and other property from a home within the Carr Fire zone. Both men were booked on multiple charges.
