K9 Helps Officer Arrest Man After Foot Chase In Anderson

An Anderson man is accused of threatening his mother. Saturday afternoon the mother of 36-year-old Kevin Rose called police from a neighbor’s home on Begonia Street, saying she feared what her son might do to her. She said he was likely to fight with arriving officers, and was under the influence of Meth. When APD Officers knocked at the door there was no answer, so they entered using a key the woman had given them. They announced that if Rose didn’t surrender, they would let Iro the K9 loose on him. Neighbors then told the officers that Rose had slipped out and was running down Begonia Street. Officers chased him into the backyard of a home on Camelia Street. As officers surrounded the place and approached with the K9, roe surrendered and was booked into jail.
