Two Dogs Killed In House Fire Sunday Afternoon

Two dogs died in a house fire in East Redding Sunday. Redding Firefighters were called a little before Noon to a home on Venus Way. Smoke was coming from the vents in the eaves, but the fire was found burning in the living room and quickly contained without spreading to the rest of the house. No people were inside but two dogs were trapped and perished in the smoke. The monetary loss is estimated at $25,000 for the house and another $10,000 worth of contents. The cause is under investigation.
