Human Remains Found At Costco Construction Site Identified As Missing Redding Man

The Chico State Anthropology Department has identified human remains found at the construction site of the new Costco in Redding, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. The remains of 44-year-old Nathaniel Kyle Lacey were were found on December 8th by a group of Native American archaeological monitors checking the site for artifacts. Lacey was reported missing in June of 2014 and was last seen at a gas station on Bechelli Lane. The case remains under investigation by the Redding Police Department and Shasta County Coroner’s Office.
