Red Bluff Police Stop Catalytic Convertor Theft In Progress At McDonald’s

Cordless saws have become red flags for police investigating catalytic convertor thefts. The exhaust components are a hot commodity due to the valuable metals that are contained within them. On Thursday Red Bluff Police were called to the McDonald’s parking lot by someone reporting seeing a person under a car with a saw. Officers found that, sure enough, there was an attempted catalytic convertor theft in progress. Multiple people were contacted, one arrest was made and four wireless reciprocating saws and grinders were seized.
