Guns Recovered After APD Serves Search Warrant, Owner Arrested

Anderson Police have seized some guns based on allegations of drug addiction. On Tuesday the APD Problem Oriented Policing Unit obtained search warrants following a traffic stop that indicated a person addicted to drugs was in possession of guns, which is apparently a violation of state law. The warrants were served at a home on Church Street and a storage unit on Banigan Road. Seven rifles and shotguns were seized and the guns’ owner was booked into jail.
