A man pulled over in Yreka found that he could not simply walk away from his troubles. Saturday evening a Siskiyou County Deputy pulled over a Honda CRV at a Chevron station for not having license plates. The driver, Joseph Garibay, got out and began walking away. The deputy caught up and stopped him, but he refused to give his name. The deputy then started to handcuff Garibay, who pulled away and took off running. He tripped, allowing the deputy to catch up. Garibay continued to resist and it took multiple Yreka Police and CHP Officers to help take him into custody. He had two felony warrants in Siskiyou County and another from Riverside County. Deputies searched the car and reported finding a syringe full of Meth, about a pound and a half of cannabis and a loaded AK-style assault rifle with matching extra magazines.
