Man Convicted On Multiple Felonies Has Prison Sentence Suspended

A Red Bluff man lied to cash in on his father’s reputation. 28-year-old Wyatt James Froome was arrested in July. He had contacted three of his father’s associates, posing as his father, saying he needed to borrow money. All three of them provided money, believing that they were loaning it to Froome’s father. While out on bail awaiting court action in that case, Froome was riding in the car of a woman he had previously dated when he assaulted her. Convicted of felony obtaining money by false pretences, 3 counts of felony false impersonation and one count of felony domestic corporal injury, Froome has been given a 4 year prison sentence, which is suspended pending 3 years formal probation.
