Two alleged thieves were caught after a brazen midday heist in Redding. Just after 11AM Saturday, Redding Police were called to a disaster relief business on Progress Drive off Eastside Road. Three men had gotten into the fenced yard and stole things from multiple vehicles before stealing two pickup trucks, a Chevy 2500 and 3500. They ran into multiple vehicles on their way out, and through the wrought iron fence, causing around $20,000 damage. It was all caught on surveillance and later in the evening officers found both pickups with stolen goods still in them. 58-year-old Arthur Colson and 29-year-old Dakota Carboni were arrested. Both reportedly confessed, but the identity of the third man is not known.
