Update: PG&E Reduces Planned PSPS Outages In Shasta County

PG&E says they’ve restored power to virtually all 29,000 customers affected by a Public Safety Power Shutoff that started Monday morning, but another one is likely Thursday as more windy conditions are forecast. The shutoff is planned to begin Thursday between 3AM and 5AM, with expected restoration starting around Noon on Friday. PG&E said on Wednesday that a change in the forecast has reduced the number of customers that will have power cut. Just under 4,800 customers in Shasta County, and just over 1200 in Tehama County will be de-energized. Details about specific addresses can be found at pge.com/pspupdate. PG&E says winds of 52 miles an hour were detected in Shasta County.
