PG&E Shutoffs Affecting More Customers Than Planned

PG&E is doing a public safety power shutoff due to windy conditions. The shutoff is affecting 23 counties. Plans included 2,419 customers in Shasta County, 5,342 in Tehama County, plus thousands more in Butte and Glenn counties. The shutoffs started early Monday morning. Thousands of customers have been shutoff as part of the planned outages, but thousands more who were not part of the plan have also lost electricity.
