Over 2,000 Pot Plants Destroyed At Commercial Grow In Anderson

A large illegal indoor Cannabis grow has been discovered in a commercial building just around the corner from Anderson City Hall. All commercial Cannabis cultivation is prohibited in the City of Anderson. At 7:30AM Thursday morning SINTF Agents and Anderson Police arrived with a search warrant at the building in the 2900 block of Douglas Street. Nobody was inside when they arrived, but they found plants in different rooms in various stage of growth. Officers say there were many building code violations involving dangerous electrical wiring and non-permitted panels, as well as structural modifications. Code enforcement red-tagged the building. A total of 2,187 plants were seized and destroyed.
