Man Appears In Court To Face Murder Charges

A Redding man has been ordered to stand trial for the stabbing death of a man in far Northeastern Shasta County. On June 21st, deputies sent to a home in the tiny community of Dana found Neilon Welch of Fall River Mills on the floor dead. 29-year-old Richard Lee Duvall the Second was arrested several days later at a Redding homeless camp. He appeared in court for a preliminary hearing Wednesday. He was ordered to stand trial for murder, use of a deadly weapon and having a prior strike conviction. He remains jailed on a Million Dollars bail.
