Warnings And Evacuations Reduced For Some Klamath Lightning Fires

The River Complex in Klamath National Forest is 195,800 acres and containment is at 50%. Evacuations have been reduced to warnings for Cecilville, Summerville and most areas in Trinity County, but evacuations remain for other areas including Callahan, Mosquito Lake and Eagle Creek.

Rains did a good job on the Antelope Fire east of Mount Shasta, which is now 89% contained after burning 145,600 acres. Evacuation orders and warnings have all been lifted. Crews are working to strengthen the 100 miles of containment lines around the perimeter

The McCash Fire in a remote area of the Marble Mountain Wilderness in the area of Ten Bear Mountain and McCash Creek has burned 84,470 acres with reduced containment of 22%. New evacuations were issued Friday for the area directly south of Happy Camp, south of Fryingpan Ridge, and east of Highway 96.
