National Forest Closure Will Be Lifted Friday For The Shasta Trinity

Most national forests in California, which all had been ordered closed due to fire danger, are reopening early. Some Southern California forests, as well as El Dorado, have had an extension on their closure order, and the Shasta-Trinity remains closed through Friday, but all others will open at Midnight Wednesday. It should be noted that forest closures for specific fire zones, such as the Monument Fire, will remain in effect, likely until the end of October. In areas that are opened, the public is warned to observe extreme caution with fire.
