Crews Fully Contain Knob Fire, Monument Fire Grows To Over 200,000 Acres

The Monument Fire has burned 210,600 acres and containment has been reduced to 43%. 50 structures have been destroyed. 6 firefighters have been injured. Evacuations including all areas along Denny Road from Zeigler Point to the Trinity Alps Wilderness, all areas along Hyampom Road from Grassy Flat to St. John Road and east of Drinkwater Gulch to Cedar Gulch Road, the intersection of Tule Creek Road at Jesse Road south through Indian Valley, as well as Helena/East Fork, Hobo Gulch, Big Mountain Road and Big French Creek Road. An evacuation warning remains in effect for many areas.

The Knob Fire near Willow Creek is fully contained after burning 2,420 acres.
