Students Hold Memorial For Teen Killed In Crash

Family, friends and classmates are reeling from the death of a 15-year-old boy in a violent crash. Kevin Cortez is the boy who died in the crash of a stolen car at Hilltop and Cypress at 3AM August 29th. The Enterprise High School Sophomore was a passenger in the car and was ejected when it rolled over after running a red light and striking another car at high speed. Redding Police had tried to pull the car over, but it was not being pursued. A memorial was held by classmates at Enterprise High last week. A GoFundMe account to cover the cost of a funeral has already raised more than $10,000. The 15-year-old boy who was at the wheel of the car faces felony charges.
