Assistant To City Manager Named To New Position That Will Oversee Grant Funding

The City of Redding has created a new position called “Economic Development, Innovation and Equity Manager”. Janelle Galbraith, formerly the Assistant to City Manager Barry Tippin, has been given the job. She’ll oversee research and application of grants to fund new and existing programs. Tippin says she’ll also promote economic vitality, youth programming and departmental collaboration on city technologies and projects. Goals and objectives have yet to be identified. Galbraith will provide regular updates to the city council.
