Officials in Trinity County seized a lot of pot on Friday. The sheriff’s office served search warrants on private property in Douglas City and Lewiston and detained several people. They weren’t arrested but criminal complaints were filed with the D.A.’s Office. Environmental and building code violations were apparently discovered. A total of 6,661 growing cannabis plants were destroyed, and 771 pounds of processed bud was seized, along with more than $50,000 cash.
