Illegal Marijuana Grower Sentenced In Tehama County

Marijuana cultivation sentences are certainly not what they used to be. Mauricio Aguirre Pena was arrested by Fish and Game Officers in a Tehama County cultivation site tending 28,133 growing marijuana plants. He also had more than 164 pounds of processed bud. Water for the plants had been diverted from a nearby lake, which was a violation of environmental law. Pena has been sentenced to 6 months in county jail and 2 years probation.
