Driver Arrested For DUI After Crash On Churn Creek Road

A Redding driver caused a mess with his Corvette Thursday. Just after Noon, 58-year-old Michael Laemmlein was northbound on Churn Creek Road when he apparently crossed over the double-yellow line near Presidio Street and his 2019 Corvette collided with a Toyota pickup, which struck a Ford F-150 pickup. The Corvette kept going and sheared off a light pole before crashing into the Sportsman’s Warehouse sign. A passenger, 53-year-old Terry Bagley, was taken to a hospital with complaints of pain. Laemmlein was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
