A significant amount of smoke will be seen to the southwest of Redding for the next few days. Cal-Fire may begin a prescribed burn project as early as Tuesday. If weather allows, up to 1200 acres of dead and downed fuels will be torched about 5 miles northeast of Platina on the north side of Platina Road. The burn is set to begin at around 10AM, and continue on Wednesday and Thursday.
