Two schools in Red Bluff were locked down and had a heavy police presence after a nearby store was robbed. At 2:15PM Thursday afternoon, a white man wearing a black mask and black clothing entered Sunnyside Market on Park Avenue in Red Bluff, pointed a silver handgun at the clerk and demanded cash. The employee wanted no part of it and ran out of the store, leaving the robber inside. Witnesses saw the armed man leave the store and run westbound on Cedar Street from Franklin Street. Officers set up a perimeter and stationed officers on both school campuses as the area was searched. When the scene was secured, students were escorted off the campuses by staff and police. Despite a search with help from several agencies, the robber was not found.
