The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man killed by a deputy on Friday. Just before Noon, a correctional deputy had brought 29-year-old Chad Curtis Loynachan to be medically cleared at Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka. When it was time to go back to jail and Loynachan was being placed in the back seat of the police car, he reportedly attacked the female deputy and tried to get her gun away from her. During the struggle Loynachan was shot. After several hours of treatment in an operating room, he was pronounced dead. Loynachan was from Tigard, Oregon and was arrested February 5th for possession of drugs for sale, multiple loaded guns and and improvised explosive device.
