Two Shasta County men are going to prison from separate domestic violence cases. Both were in court to plead guilty to felony charges on Wednesday. 24-year-old Dylan Bodner went to his ex-girlfriend’s home unannounced on January 4th and became upset with her. He grabbed her by the neck and slammed her to the ground, causing bruising to her neck and a cut on her lip. A male roommate intervened and Bodner threw a jewelry box at him, hitting him in the face and cutting his nose. Bodner was sentenced to 4 years in state prison. Also on Wednesday, 31-year-old Brandon Kilpatrick plead guilty to domestic violence with great bodily injury and other charges and he was sentenced to 7 years 8 months in state prison.
