Murder Suspect Captured In Dunsmuir

Officials have captured a suspect in a deadly stabbing committed in Dunsmuir. 25-year-old Christopher Michael Castillo, originally from Humboldt County, had been sought in connection with the murder that happened Thursday morning. Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Detectives said Castillo had fled on foot and was considered armed and dangerous. They thought he might get out of town by hitchhiking, calling for a ride or catching a train or bus. In announcing his capture, the department has not released any details about the victim or the circumstances of the crime.
