Redding’s LGBTQ+ community wants the city to paint a rainbow colored crosswalk. They’d like it either near the Sundial Bridge or near the Cascade Theater. Organizers of the effort say it would show an acceptance of diversity and inclusiveness for those who have been historically marginalized, and may still be looking for safety and acceptance among their neighbors. The group has posted a petition to change.org.
