A cache of illegal weapons was found during a search of a Shasta Lake City home, according to the sheriff’s office. On Thursday afternoon deputies went to the Grand Avenue home of 35-year-old Jacob Tyler Pearson. He had a felony arrest warrant issued for possession of a loaded and concealed weapon during an incident in August. Pearson met the deputies at the front door and was taken into custody. He allegedly admitted that he had other guns inside and consented to a search. Deputies reported finding 12 loaded guns inside the home, including a sawed-off shotgun and three rifles that are considered illegal assault weapons in California. One revolver and an a rifle had been reported stolen from Redding and from Lassen county.
