A house was destroyed by fire at the eastern edge of Anderson Wednesday morning. It was initially reported to be on Green Acres Lane in Churn Creek Bottom just south of Redding, but it was actually a house on Green Acres Drive off Deschutes Road in the Anderson area. It was reported as a fire at the back of the house and everyone evacuated safely a little after 6AM. The house was a total loss. Cal-Fire determined the cause to be a wood burning stove.
