APD: Teen Arrested For Attempted Murder After Shooting At Vehicle

Two arrests have been made following a shooting in Anderson on Sunday. Just after Noon, Anderson Police were called to Pinion Avenue at Yellow Finch Drive on reports of gunshots. As officers were gathering shell casings from the street, a woman called to report that she had been shot at. She had confronted two people who jumped over the security fence at her apartment complex, and one of them brandished a handgun. The pair left in a car and the woman followed them in her car until they reached the intersection of Pinion and Yellow Finch, where the passenger opened fire on the victim’s car, striking it several times. She got the license plate number and the car was spotted at around 4 O’clock on Highway 273 at Canyon Drive. The driver, 19-year-old Cierra Harris of Antioch, was arrested for being an accessory to attempted murder. Further investigation led officers to believe the shooter was a 16-year-old boy from Vacaville. They learned where he was and staked out the location until he was seen leaving, and he was arrested for attempted murder. The APD says both suspects confessed to detectives during questioning.
