Some arrests were made during a series of probation searches Wedensday in Cottonwood, Redding and Shasta Lake City. Sheriff’s deputies and probation officers visited 10 different people on probation and made five arrests. Most of the arrests were for outstanding warrants, though 51-year-old Kyle Richard Sims allegedly had an ounce of heroin and a quarter pound of methamphetamine packaged for sale, so he faces additional charges.
