Redding Police raided a pair of motel rooms in Downtown Redding on Saturday night that were reportedly being used to sell drugs. Officers reportedly had observed a large amount of drug related activity in the 500 block of North Market Street. Officers say 31-year-old Michael Shankles, 29-year-old David Shankles, and 28-year-old Breanna Nutter were responsible for one of the rooms. A search was conducted and officers allegedly found an ounce of Heroin, a quarter ounce of Meth, and other drug paraphernalia. An investigation determined that the occupants of the room were selling Heroin and Meth and were using the room solely to sell and use drugs. In the 2nd room officers found 25-year-old Camren Taylor and 28-year-old Lisa Deaton. Taylor is on felony probation. Officers say that they found 3 pounds of Cannabis during a search of the room. They also found used syringes and 4500 Dollars in cash. Redding Police say that the group was working together to form a one stop shop for illegal drugs. All were arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail.
